Bartlesville City Manager Ed Gordon has been hospitalized over the weekend due to an ongoing illness. The City of Bartlesville announced the news in a press release on Tuesday.

Mayor Dale Copeland explains the situation.

Gordon had been on medical leave over the past several weeks and recently complications have developed from his illness. Gordon is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville.

Effective immediately CFO/Aministrative Services Director Mike Bailey will step in as acting city manager.

Copeland has all confidence that Bailey will continue to do good work as acting City Manager.
