The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond announced more details regarding the Drummond's new Pawhuska projects on Thursday.

Ree and Ladd Drummond have begun renovations on two buildings in downtown Pawhuska, just down the street from The Mercantile. One building will serve as a retail store and an eight-room boutique hotel, which Ree referenced as the "boarding house" on her blog last week. The second building will house an event space and specialty bar and steakhouse.

During renovations of the boarding house, workers uncovered a two-story advertisement for Purvey's Drugstore.  The ad had been hidden by old sheetrock. The Drummonds plan to feature the piece of history in the boarding house's common area. (Similarly, this treasure, a mural from the National Biscuit Company was uncovered during The Mercantile's renovations and now serves as a central focal point in the Deli.)

You can watch for updates from the Drummonds on building construction and other surprises on her blog at www.thepioneerwoman.com.
