Sponsler Charged For Indecent Exposure

Lacey Sponsler, the Pawhuska substitute teacher who exposed herself in January while performing a cartwheel appeared in court today for a plea hearing.

Sponsler, has had another incidents after the cartwheel, where she entered a guilty plea in Tulsa County on an amended misdemeanor larceny charge. She was originally charged with a felony after Broken Arrow Police said she stole a purse at a bowling alley.

A video from a student’s cell phone shows Lacey Sponsler doing a cartwheel during a high school choir class. Sponsler says that she did not remember doing the cartwheel.

Sponsler pleaded guilty to an indecent exposure charge and received a two-year suspended sentence.
