The Nowata Board of Education announced the hiring of a new football coach in a special meeting on Wednesday night. Jeremy Gray will be the newest head coach of the Ironmen after the resignation of Cory James. This will be Nowata’s third head coach in the last three years.

Gray is a coach with many local ties having spent 11 years on the coaching staff at Owasso High School including four as the school’s defensive coordinator. Gray also spent a year as the defensive coordinator for Bartlesville High School.

Gray will make his Nowata coaching debut against Salina on August 25.
