The Bartlesville High baseball team had a storybook end to its regular season on Friday afternoon at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

The Bruins swept a double-header against Moore and Bixby, and finished in a tie for fourth place in 6A District 4.

BHS topped Moore in game one 4-2, then beat Bixby by the same score in the second game, 4-2.

The Bruins trailed Bixby 2-0 into the fifth, before scoring four runs over the final three innings to steal the win.

Bartlesville entered the bottom of the seventh tied with the Spartans, a leadoff double from Easton Hammonds put the winning run on base, and Garret Meidl knocked him home.

Bartlesville finishes the regular season having won eight of its last 10 games on the diamond.

Noah Yearout, Taylor Cobb and Hunter Stoops all three pitched well on the day.

BHS is 12-13-1. The Bruins await their regional assignment, which should be released early next week by the OSSAA.
