Two Copan people who are accused of stealing mail from mailboxes have waived preliminary hearing and are bound over for formal arraignment scheduled for December 14th.  21-year old Stephanie Ann Pinkerton and 34-year old Rodney John Smith are charged with knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of CDS, and possession of marijuana.  Back in October, Washington County Sheriff Deputies served a search warrant at a Copan home located in the 200 block of South Chesnut.

A court affidavit states that deputies found stolen mail, a bottle of hair color, a cell phone battery, and a large military bag.  The authorities found in a bedroom marijuana and other illegal drugs, along with knives and a 12-gauge shotgun.  Both suspects admitted taking mail from several mailboxes.
