The Oklahoma Department of Corrections’ Office of the Inspector General is asking for the public’s help in locating Edmund Owens, who failed to report to his parole officer in Feb. 2015 and has been missing since.
Fugitive agents with the Office of the Inspector General believe Owens is hiding in the Tulsa area. However, recent leads on his whereabouts have gone cold.
Owens is believed to be associated with numerous other crimes since he was last seen, which has made him one of the department’s 15 most wanted fugitives.
Corrections Director Joe M. Allbaugh says “The public has been instrumental in helping the department and local law enforcement locate and bring individuals back into DOC custody. We are again asking for the same assistance in locating Owens.
Allbaugh says if Owens’ location is known, to not approach him and call local law enforcement immediately.
If any information on Owens is available, authorities ask individuals to call local law enforcement, the DOC fugitive warrants division at (405)425-2570 or submit an email with information to warrants@doc.ok.gov.
All information is kept strictly confidential.
Owens is 37-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.
He was out on probation, serving a 12-year sentence for drug trafficking, possession of a stolen vehicle and concealing stolen property.
