Bartlesville Library Gets Grant

The Oklahoma Department of Libraries announced that the Bartlesville Public Library and BPL Literacy Services will receive a $4,000 grant.  The funds are made possible by the federal institute of museum of library services will allow the BPL program to promote health and wellness information, programs, and resources to the community.

The grant will address several health and wellness issues.  In October, the Bartlesville Public Library will kick off a free to the public Refit Class.  The class will run Wednesday evenings for six weeks beginning on Wednesday, October 5th, at 5:30 P.M. in the upstairs meeting room.  The class will run until November 9th.  On Thursday, October 6th, from Noon to 1 o'clock, everyone is invited to attend a presentation by Teresa Watson, and infection prevention nurse who will talk about ways to prevent the flu.
