A $50,000 bond has been set for a Pawhuska man who allegedly led Bartlesville Police on a high speed chase.  35-year old Jacob Dustin Collins is charged with eluding, driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain insurance, and failure to pay state taxes.  Bartlesville police saw a 2007 Chrysler 300 bearing a temporary paper tag that was faded and unreadable driving east on Lupa.

According to a court affidavit, officers attempt to make a traffic stop, but the suspect sped away going 50 mph through residential streets and drove through three different stop signs.  Reportedly, the vehicle left the roadway, drove through a yard, and struck a curb.  The paper tag showed it expired in June of 2016.  The affidavit states that Collins license was suspended and the vehicle had no insurance.  Court records indicate that Collins had priors in Osage County.

Collins next court date is October 21st.
