City Extends Landfill Opportunity

The City of Bartlesville typically gives residents a one week opportunity to dispose of items in the Osage County Landfill free of charge.

In the past, Bartlesville residents were allowed to dispose of items during a one-week period in the spring, and another one-week period in the fall.

But Public Works Director, Keith Henry says this year the Fall Cleanup campaign will officially get underway when you receive your next utility bill.

You will receive a coupon with the next monthly utility bill that's good for one free trip to the landfill anytime between now and Dec. 31st.

Henry says the city has made some changes to its Fall Cleanup campaign this year by extending the campaign from one week to upwards of six months.  Henry says he hopes the extended timeframe will be more convenient for residents, and it will increase participation in the program.

While residents will have months to make their way to the landfill, the coupon is good for only one trip.
