An Inola man is in Washington County custody after he allegedly led officers in a high speed chase.  42-year old Kenneth Leroy Sharp is charged with attempt to elude a police officer, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of meth, and driving with a suspended license.  Washington County Sheriff's deputies noticed a vehicle traveling north on U.S. Highway 75 going 100 in a 70 mph zone.

According to a court affidavit, the suspect sped away from the authorities, turned to county road 3990, swerved around, loss control of the vehicle, and ended up into a front yard.  Reportedly, speeds were up as 100 mph.  EMS transported Sharp to Jane Phillips Medical Center to treat minor injuries.  Officers found in Sharp's possession a bag of meth.

Sharp's next court date is September 23rd.  Bond was set at $150,000.
