The Bartlesville cross country team won its first meet of the season on Friday. 

Bartlesville's boy's and girl's teams both won the Hugh Pierce Invitational going away. 

The girls edged past Metro Christian and Owasso. The boys beat Owasso and Bishop Kelley for the title. 

On the girl's side BHS had the top two finishers. Shay Staton and Greta Olsen were number one and two respectively. Riley Rigdon finished fourth. 

For the boys it was Henry Williams and James Martinez at no. 2 and 3 overall.

The cross country team is next in a meet on Thursday at Owasso.
