A Barnsdall 17 year-old is in the hospital because of injuries she sustained Saturday afternoon in an accident a half-mile south of the Barnsdall City Limits.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the teen was driving a Ford Explorer northbound on County Road 2409.  Her vehicle went off the roadway to the right and she over-corrected.  That caused the Explorer to go into a slide and cross the roadway.  She then overcorrected to the right and the vehicle went off the roadway and hit an embankment. The vehicle then went airborne for about 41 feet before it landed on its passenger side and rolled 3-quarters of the way over.

Samaritan EMS transported the teen to Bartlesville's Jane Phillips Medical Center and she was subsequently transported to Tulsa's St. Francis Hospital where she was admitted in stable condition with internal injuries.
