Vinita Teen Arrested in Shooting Death
Charlie Taraboletti
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting death of a Vinita woman.
The agency said earlier that a 38-year-old woman was found dead in her home Monday after her step-son walked into the Vinita Police Department about 7:30 a.m. Monday and said he had killed the woman.
The body is being sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Authorities say it appears she suffered a single gunshot wound.
The OSBI says the boy is being held in the Craig County jail on a first-degree murder complaint.
