The Bartlesville boy's soccer team is going with a proven winner for it's next skipper.

BHS has hired Oklahoma Wesleyan men's soccer coach Jamie Peterson as its new head coach. Peterson replaces Micah Lipscomb who stepped down after 12 successful seasons with the Bruins.

Peterson will be able to coach both the Eagles and the Bruins because their schedules do not interfere with one another. Peterson explains.

The Eagle's season in the NAIA ranks begins in August, while the Bartlesville boy's team won't begin play until March.

Peterson has been with OKWU for six years, this fall will be his seventh with the helm for the Eagles. Oklahoma Wesleyan has been to several NAIA tournaments under Peterson's direction.

Peterson had previously helped with BHS soccer as a student at OKWU under Lipscomb. He says he is excited for what this could mean for soccer in Bartlesville.
