Osage County Board to Choose Emergency Medical Provider

The Osage County Board of Commissioners will pick up proposals for emergency medical services for the Barnsdall area on Monday morning.  The board has been working to award a contract for the last several weeks.  They received two bids last Monday but the proposals weren't an easy comparison -- one would provide a crew for the existing ambulance rig while the other would provide two crews and add an ambulance rig to the coverage area.   That means two differently-priced proposals.  The board chose to take the week to review the proposals and to evaluate the available funding for emergency medicine.

The agenda calls for the board to deal with detention service contracts with insurance issues.  The board will also act on contracts with Pawhuska and Fairfax hospitals for X-ray services.

Monday morning's Osage County Board meeting is set for 10 o'clock at the Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska.
