Black Surrenders To Police

Washington County District Judge Curtis DeLapp held a probable cause hearing Friday afternoon for James T. Black of Enid for robbery and kidnapping.  Bartlesville police served a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of SW Elm.  According to a court affidavit, a man came out of the house and told officers that Black was armed with a semi-automatic weapon and was held hostage.  The victim told the authorities that the suspect pointed the gun at his head.  After a four-and a half hour standoff, the suspect surrendered.  Bartlesville Police Captain Jay Hastings.

The affidavit states that Black confessed to two Bartlesville robberies.  The first at Goldies Restaurant back on April 25th and the other robbery this past week that involved two other suspects Denorvice Howard and Chris Cox. 

Black's next court date is Monday when charges are expected to be filed.  Bond was set at $500,000.
