Failure to yeild from a county road caused a Friday morning accident a mile east of Ochelata in Washington County.  According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a pickup driven by 24 year-old Vanallen Parson of Skiatook tried to cross all four lanes of U. S. 75.  Parson pulled onto the highway and crossed the southbound lanes into the northbound traffic when a car driven by 38 year-old Alanzon Carter of Bartlesville hit the front passenger side of his pickup.  Carter's car continued northbound and hit a stop sign.

Bartlesville EMS took Carter to Jane Phillips Medical Center and then transported him to Tulsa's St. John's Hospital.  He was admitted there in serious condition with a head injury.  Parson and his 17 yer-old passenger were not injured.
