UPDATE: As of 9pm Suspect is in Custody, Still Please Avoid Area

The Bartlesville Police are on the scene of a stand off with an armed subject inside a home. According to Captain Jay Hastings the stand off is in the 1600 block of SW Elm in Bartlesville. The special Operations team is on scene at this time.

There was a brief hostage situation but the hostage was allowed to leave the home unharmed. Detectives arrived initially looking for the armed robbery suspect  James T Black. 

Police are asking everyone in the area to stay in doors at this time until the incident is over.

Please avoid the area.
