Washington County Commissioners Talk Funding Cuts and Appointments
District 2 Washington County Commissioner Mike Bouvier made a trip to Oklahoma City last week to visit with state legislators. He found out that there are 311 bills that could be reviewed pertaining to county government which could also affect road and bridge repairs.
A proclamation presented by Bouvier regarding the impact of funding cuts passed but was rejected by District 3 Commissioner Mike Dunlap. Dunlap did however approve the appointment of J.C. Copeland to the Free Fair Board.
The Commissioners acknowledged the receipt of a letter for Kary Cox, Chief of the Washington County Volunteer Fire Department. District 1 Commissioner Mitch Antle said the volunteers are saving the county money.
The Commissioners meet again next Monday, February 15th at 9:30 A.M.
