The mandatory boil water notice that went into effect in Barnsdall on Friday remains in effect. Rural districts #5 and #15 are included. According to social media posts, Barnsdall Mayor Brock Moore is going door to door handing out notices. The Department of Environmental Quality has the city of Barnsdall on "mandatory boil order" with our city water until further notice. Please heat drinking water to boiling temps before consuming. Also, help spread the word to our neighbors.

You can also use boiled water or water from another acceptable source for consumption, food preparation, dishwashing and brushing teeth. The DEQ issued the boil water order due to increased turbidity in the city's drinking water. Click on the link for the definition
