Owasso Police K9 Officer in Need of a Little Help

The Owasso Police Department has been fortunate enough to add another K9 officer. With funds from previous donations, The Friends of Owasso Police Foundation, were able to purchase Monson. However, additional funds are needed for related expenses such as housing, vehicle adjustments, food, vet expenses, etc.

The Police Department's 2016 budget does not have an allowance for these expenses. The Friends of Owasso Police Foundation hope to raise the funds needed by the end of June of this year.

Officers say having a K9 on each shift will greatly increase not only officer safety but will allow the department to do more proactive policing. Follow the links posted with this story at bartlesvilleradio.com to find out how you can help.
