REAL ID Act Coming Enactment Causing Questions

With the deadline looming for the REAL ID Act, many people are wondering if their Oklahoma driver's license will be sufficient ID to get on an airplane or enter federal facilities. The Department of Homeland Security has granted a 120 day extension to the 28 states, including Oklahoma, that have yet to comply with the REAL ID Act. Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust spokesperson Alexis Higgins said the airport is also waiting for more information.

Higgins said she doesn't know how TSA will handle passengers when the deadline comes but hopefully, with a four month extension, the situation will be figured out.
