The Osage County Board of County Commissioners met Tuesday morning due to the observance of Columbus Day. This week the Country Corner Nonprofit organization went before the commissioners asking for financial support as the organization is in dire need assistance and preparing to fold their ambulance service.

Country Corner is a nonprofit organization which operates within Osage County and as a Fire District and Ambulance service. The organization's Fire District receives monetary support from the County, however their ambulance service will soon run out of funding and will have to cease operations.

The Commissioners shared concern of the ambulance service ceasing operations as much of Osage County is already operating on limited ambulatory services, however were unable to provide an immediate answer. The item was tabled until next week.

Returning to the agenda this week was a request by Clear Sky Wind Project to utilize overhead utility lines for electrical lines to wind turbines. After being reviewed by legal council the action was denied.

The Osage County Board of County Commissioners will meet again next Monday at the Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska.
