Dewey City Council members declared two properties dilapidated, tabled another and gave one property owner 60 days to remove two outbuildings, secure the structure and shore up the foundation during Monday's meeting. They also discussed the need for commercial zoning within city limits with an emphasis on properties located on Highway 75. Remaining funds from a previous bond issue, in the amount of $3,113.97, were approved for transfer from the GOFF 05 Sinking Fund to the General Fund.

City Manager Kevin Trease is counting on the citizens of Dewey to approve the extension of the current city sales tax.

The Special Election is next Tuesday, October 13.
