Nowata Crushes Oklahoma Union

The Nowata Ironmen improved their record to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in district play as they celebrated homecoming with a 55-0 win over Oklahoma Union in a Nowata County Showdown.  Nowata scored on their opening drive when Wyatt Sanders scored on a 67 yard run.

Sanders finished the game with six carries for 178 yards and three touchdowns.  Nowata scored 48 of their 55 points in the first half.  Running back Tarrell Collins had a huge night as he finished with nine carries for 103 yards and three touchdowns.  As a team, Nowata finished with over 400 yards of total offense.  Oklahoma Union had only 79 yards of total offense.  The Cougars drop to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in district play.

Next up for Oklahoma Union will be against Caney Valley while Nowata travels to Chelsea next Friday night.
