Bartlesville Man Damages County Jail
A Bartlesville man who was in custody for other matters is in trouble with the law again after he allegedly damaged a sprinkler head in the county jail. 20-year old Cody Ray Garrett is charged with injuring a public building.
According to a court affidavit, a fire alarm was activated as Washington County Sheriff deputies water rushing from a cell. A security video indicated that Garrett tampered the sprinkler head and caused flooding to parts of the jail.
Garrett was in custody facing bail jumping and falsely personate to create liability charges. Those cases are set for a September 11th preliminary hearing.
Garrett's next court date for the new charge is scheduled for September. Garrett's bond was raised from $250,000 to $300,000 bond.
